How can you tell the difference between a real and fake Mont Blanc Pen?

One way to tell is shine a flashlight through the pen body, the pen body should glow deep amber red! Mont Blanc pens are actually red and not black!

Another way to tell is to look for the serial number that is laser etched on the pen clip, Specifically the ring of the pen clip.
