Some will. Inks in the red, violet and pink colors are more likely to stain the container section of the pen. I have a pen that I used Pelikan Purple for many years.

Yep, the plastic convertor does have a purple tone to it that is there for life. The blue tone inks are generally the least likely to stain, but then again, if you get some of the highly intense colours that general guide starts to fade.
